Insulation: YES. The wall and roof have a 1" styrofoam insulation sandwiched between 3/4" OSB BOARDS, making the walls 1 3/4" thick. framed with 1" x 1" lumber. The floor has a 2" styrofoam insulation sandwiched between 2- 1/2" OSB BOARDS making it 3" thick, framed with 2" x 2" lumber, all this is encased within a base made of dimensional pressure treated lumber for durability and longevity.

Constructed from OSB BOARD. Oriented Strand Board is an engineered wood strand panel designed to be super strong, hardwearing and defective free. Used in construction to build homes. It has a natural life of around sixty years.
Maintenance: All you have to do is a simple seasonal maintenance and that's applying a weather seal either in the Spring or early Fall or both. It won't hurt and the dog house will look new for years to come.
